Best: Please introduce yourselves…
Dj Andy: My name is Motsamai Andy (as DjAndy) from East Rand in Gauteng. Am a versatile spinner serving house music. Yes they do love my music hence I get booking ls every weekend.
Best:  When did you start Djing?
Dj Andy: I started in 2009 and became relevant and popular in 2014.
Best: So when did you decide that this was no longer a hobby and that you would make it your career?
Dj Andy: When I started to get bookings and exploring different locations and different crowed.
Best: So what sets you apart from the rest? What’s the difference between other DJ and you?
Dj Andy: Difference between me and others its that I bring variety to my sets, am unpredictable and I serve house music in a preferred enjoyable way.
Best: What is it like when you look out at the crowd?
Dj Andy: It’s always heaven for me because that’s my office, when I get to the stage its always a pleasure to make everyone happy that’s my purpose as a dj.
Best: Where do you get inspiration from?
Dj Andy: I was inspired by how I was growing and developing skills from this career practical. I look up to my self because am a brand.
Best: Do you get nervous before you go on stage?
Dj Andy: Absolutely No! Am over stage fright.
Best  What is the biggest crowd that you have ever played for?
Dj Andy: Blue jeans event, Live in colour, and also my events the list is endless.
Best: What is the greatest gig that you’ve played?
Dj Andy: Live in colour powder picnic
Best: How has the house scene changed since you started djing?
Dj Andy: It hasn’t changed that much but breakthroughs are out there for us to reach and bring change with the talent.
Best: Do plenty of women throw themselves at you?
Dj Andy: No they do not, it’s always a matter of taking pictures together before set and after my set.
Best: Is being a Dj lucrative?
Dj Andy:  Yes it has been profitable
Best: Do you have other businesses are you involved in?
Dj Andy: Yes which is my graphic designing, am an event organizer probably marketing (live in colour) currently. Am a sound engineer.
Best: How many studio albums do you have if not are you looking to release anything in the future?
Dj Andy:  I have started to produce, am working on my first single that will be dropping In April.
 Best: Is there any artist you wish to work with in our industry?
Dj Andy: Am absolutely keen to work with any of your artists because am willing to explore and experience differently mostly Learn.
Best: How do you think music you play has changed over the years?
Dj Andy: It has changed because the game now is making a lot of businesses and events more vibrant. It’s now playing on our radio station hopefully one day will be screened for TV.
Best: Are you big into social media. how many twitter/FB followers do you have?
Dj Andy: Not yet big but am very relevant, check my Facebook, Instagram account motsamai DjAndy.
Best: What is your advice to up and coming DJs?
Dj Andy: My biggest advice is to never stop learning about you self, you are capable of many don’t limit anything go all out and keep knocking to those doors.
Best: If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Dj Andy: Absolutely nothing because this is my life in a reality form. Hence I’d really appreciate to be taken by the team to work even more.
