Best: Where are you from and do they love your music where you from?
Terry: I’m from Johannesburg Alexandra, I grew up here and moved to Pretoria when I was 11 years, my love for started right here which is why I have a huge support from Pretoria that’s where I get a lot of love.
Best: When did you start Djing?
Terry: I started following the music in 2004, that’s when I started to learn how to Dj and collect music etc.
Best: So when did you decide that this was no longer a hobby and that you would make it your career?
Terry: Music was never a hobby for me, I’ve always wanted it to be a career.
Best: So what do you think sets you apart from the rest? I mean, what’s the difference between any DJ and you?
Terry: The difference in would say that I am not just playing music for the sake of just playing , I believe music is a psychological thing you have to really get into your audience mind. So that’s what makes who I am as a performing artist.
Best: What is it like when you look out at the crowd?
Terry: It’s a feeling I cannot explain really , I can only express it.
Best: Where did/do you get inspiration from?
Terry: Life in general gives me inspiration, but more than that I believe to be inspired you gotta be spiritually inclined.
Best: Do you get nervous before you go on stage?
Terry: Never!!! I’m the most excited before my DJ sets.
Best What is the biggest crowd that you have ever played for?
Terry: 2000 +
Best: What is the greatest gig that you’ve played?
Terry: 2011 Tut freshers ball, it was lit and more.
Best: How has the house scene changed since you started djing?
Terry: It has changed a lot, and the content today is way too diluted to be honest, it all sounds the same.
Best: Now you are legend have plenty women thrown themselves at you?
Terry: LOL, no
Best: Is being a Dj lucrative?
Best: What other businesses are you involved in?
Terry: Restaurant business and events.
Best: How many studio albums do you have if not are you looking to release anything in the future?
Terry: No album yet, however I am working on my debut album and a couple of singles which will be due for release 2018.
Best: Is there any artist you wish to work with in our industry?
Terry: Yes, Culoe De Song, DJ Maphorisa, Ricky Rick, Zonke Dikana, Thandiswa Mazwai, DJ Cleo, Black Coffee.
Best: How do you think music you play has changed over the years?
Terry: Well as I have said , a lot has changed and the music now is diluted.
Best: Are you big into social media. how many twitter followers?
Terry: Well social media wise , I’m still building up on followers Twitter 753 Followers.
Best: What is your advice to up and coming DJs?
Terry: Don’t do Drugs. Focus on your goals and that means working on improving your art everyday.
Best: If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Terry: I’d be a stripper.
